Why We Choose Nu Kuro

🛡️ Nu Kuro Certification

The Law Behind the Offering.

🔍 What is Nu Kuro?

Nu Kuro (from the Yoruba, núkúrò — to remove impurity, to cleanse) is a spiritual and ethical certification standard rooted in ancestral law. Governed by the elder council Iledi Gilasi, Nu Kuro ensures that every animal is processed with reverence, balance, and intention—from life, to death, to delivery.

At June’s Law, we don’t just offer meat. We offer memory. We honor Nu Kuro because it reflects the values we live by:

The way we eat mirrors the way we live.
And some things deserve to be done slowly, with sacred hands.

✨ Why June’s Law Offers Nu Kuro Certified Products

We chose Nu Kuro because it protects more than food quality—it protects spiritual law, ancestral integrity, and the balance of power between masculine and feminine forces.

We don’t believe in fast meat. We believe in sacred timing.
We don’t believe meat is just fuel. We believe it’s a ceremony.

Every offering certified by Nu Kuro passes through a system of trust, reverence, and ancestral instruction. That’s what makes it different.

⚖️ A Code of Balance & Cooperation

Nu Kuro is a law of cooperativeness—between land and lineage, body and spirit, male and female.

  • No animal is processed without both masculine and feminine energy present.
  • No food is certified without ritual intention.
  • No spiritual work is done out of sync with nature.

🩸 Menstruation & Rest: A Sacred Pause

In alignment with ancestral understanding, Nu Kuro requires that women rest during their menstrual cycles.

  • They do not eat or prepare meat
  • They abstain from physical labor
  • They step back from slaughter or butchery

This is not exclusion—it’s exaltation. Menstruation is seen as a time of energetic openness, release, and spiritual sensitivity. In Nu Kuro, this moment is protected—not bypassed.

To abstain is not to lose power. It’s to protect it.
To rest is to return to alignment.

🌿 What Nu Kuro Certified Means

Every Nu Kuro Certified product meets the following standards:

  • 🗣️ Spiritual intention is spoken before and during slaughter
  • 🌱 No hormones or antibiotics
  • 🤲🏾 No unnecessary suffering—animals are handled with ancestral care
  • 🌾 Sourced from farms aligned with Nu Kuro ethics
  • ⚖️ Balanced participation from male and female practitioners
  • 🔁 Processed in sacred time, not factory rhythm
  • 🧘🏾♀️ Rest protocols observed, including menstrual cycle abstention for women
  • 🔒 Governed by Iledi Gilasi, a council of elders and spiritual stewards

👥 Who Governs It?

Iledi Gilasi (a division of Makanjuola Holdings, LLC) is the sacred governing body behind Nu Kuro—composed of elders, spiritual leaders, and ethical food practitioners. They oversee certification, train certifiers, and ensure each offering is in alignment with ancestral standards and divine law.

They do not answer to markets. They answer to memory.

💬 In Our Words

We don’t sanitize our process. We spiritualize it.
We don’t rush the meat. We remember the animal.
We don’t sell food. We share law.

💡 Why It Matters

Because your food is a reflection of your values.
Because the Earth remembers what we do to her.
Because your children inherit not just land—but law.

At June’s Law, we offer Nu Kuro Certified meat because:
the meal is sacred. the meat is spiritual. the standard is ours.
